Beatrix Potter created one of the world’s most enduring characters, Peter Rabbit, and found inspiration in the world of nature. From her childhood she would sketch the world around her and wanted to make sure the nature she loved was there for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

A pioneering author and illustrator, her work is a celebration of British nature and countryside. Her global success allowed her to protect and conserve her beloved Lake District home for generations to enjoy and celebrate. This beautifully illustrated picture book tells the story of Beatrix’s life and the countryside she cherished.
