How would you like to join Team Planet, as they investigate some of the most awe-inspiring wonders in our world? You’ll explore ancient dinosaur lands in Africa, fly over active volcanoes in South America and crawl through picturesque caves in Asia!

These are all UNESCO Global Geoparks, places which have special importance for everyone on our planet. But these amazing sites are under threat – from people, pollution, climate change and natural disasters. Come on an expedition to discover what we can all do to help protect these fascinating places.

See dinosaur footprints in Morocco, active volcanoes in Iceland, Vietnam and Chile, amazing cliffs in Ireland and Canada, caves in France and Iran, glacial landscapes in the USA and Norway and canyons in Jordan and China.

Created in partnership with UNESCO, this book follows ‘Team Planet’, a group of children who learn about world heritage sites around the world and why these areas need protecting. Supports the geography and history curriculums at KS2.

Follow Team Planet in other titles in the series as they: Protect Cities; Safeguard Living Heritage; Protect Oceans; Protect World Heritage; Protect Biospheres
